From organic to wild fish – all our products come from ecologically sound waters.
Our organic fish comes from organic aquacultures and are grown using sustainable organic feed only. We also completely refrain from using genetically modified food, medications, growth hormones and antibiotics. Compared with conventional farming, the number of fish per open-air enclosure is significantly lower at our growers’ farms. Our fish can move easier through the water, grow in a healthier environment and naturally develop their outstanding taste.
Our wild fish are captured in line with the special regulations laid down by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) for safeguarding the health of the world’s oceans, and are processed on site directly after they have been caught. This eliminates unnecessarily long transport routes, is kind to the environment and preserves the quality – as the fish are only frozen once and thus retain their firm flesh and outstanding taste.
Followfish real bonito tuna comes from one of the probably most sustainable tuna fisheries known: the pole & line fishery in the Maldives. Tuna have been caught here individually using a (bamboo) fishpole for as many as 900 years.
